    Loose aggressive sitting on my right.

    PokerStars No-Limit Hold'em Tourney, Big Blind is t150 (8 handed) converter

    MP1 (t2825)
    MP2 (t6825)
    CO (t4464)
    Button (t2455)
    Hero (t3010)
    BB (t840)
    UTG (t3918)
    UTG+1 (t3720)

    Preflop: Hero is SB with J, A.
    4 folds, CO raises to t450, 1 fold, Hero calls t375, 1 fold.

    Flop: (t1050) A, 7, 4 (2 players)
    Hero checks, CO bets t450, Hero raises to t2560, CO calls t2110.

    Turn: (t6170) 9 (2 players)

    River: (t6170) 8 (2 players)

    Final Pot: t6170

    Results in white below:
    CO has Js Ts (straight, jack high).
    Hero has Jh Ad (one pair, aces).
    Outcome: CO wins t6170.

    Mathematically he made a bad call. Realistically he got lucky. It's a bad beat, you got your money in when you were ahead and he made runner-runner gutshot for a straight.

    He was clearly on a flush draw and made a straight.

    I don't think A-J is a re-raise hand pre-flop, I think you played it well. You put all your chips in while you were ahead, too bad it didn't work out this time.

    AJ is an easy reraise against a possible steal.
    To win in poker you only need to be one step ahead of your opponents. Two steps may be detrimental.

    Bad call. Good result. This guy was lucky chasing here but the logic on this kind of stuff is hard to debate. His call though mathematically incorrect...is REALLY ballsy without the nut flush draw and deserves at least the sack award for the day.
    Superb play sir...I always call 20% of my stack off with a gutshot draw. Excuse me while I race for my wallet.
