Default re-entry with bigger stack going to day 2 math ?s

Upcoming ventian ds has two events with two day ones. You can play both days, but only the larger stack goes with you to day 2.

    http://www.venetian.com/uploadedFile...StackI2012.pdf

THESE EVENTS HAVE TWO STARTING DAYS. PLAYERS MAY PLAY BOTH
DAYS WITH ONLY THE GREATER CHIP STACK ADVANCING TO DAY 2
Based on similar events at Bellagio/Caesars they will stop 1A with about 10-15% of the field left (just before money), then play the exact same amount of levels on 1B.

So if you make it through 1A, how big would your stack need to be to not play 1B?

Or do you always play 1B (assuming your stack is say average or less), but play super aggro until your stack is > than the 1A stack?

What (if any) changes should we make in our play late on day 1A?

    Other thoughts?

I have played lots of multiple day 1s, but they were all "You must go broke to play next day" or "Combine stacks" format.

From a strictly mathmatical standpoint I would never play day b unless I thought I had more of an edge on the field for that separate entry than the ev$ value of the stack I had to move forward with from day A.

sidenote, The few of these that I have seen were always such that day 2 was already itm, this changes things significantly and we basically never play again once we qualify.

I imagine the player field in the 3 p.m. on Friday is going to be softer?

    both starts are noon.

I don't worry too much about that angle, there is a 1k circuit event Thursday at caesars then 1A of the 1.5k ME Friday so most of the tougher players should be over there both days.

Plus most (80%?) of the time I'll be playing both days regardless.
