Default QQ on the BUTTON $10 + 1 SNG 4 remaining

    Hi guys,

This was a $10 + 1 pokerstars sng nonturbo and not a DON. Should I have played this differently? Any advice would be much appreciated.

I don't raise 4x with any hand really although if you think it will get called it does set you up to shove the flop I guess. Either way you're getting your chips in on this board.

I too would just make a 3bb PFR, and I'm getting it all in on that flop.

I'm not sure I'd shove the flop in this case. The flop has most likely missed the villain and if the villain is behind here, you want to entice him into the pot. Of coarse you should be happy to get all your chips in here but you are looking for the best way to get the villain to commit all his chips.

On that flop I think I'd put in 1/2 - 2/3 pot and push the turn.

Thanks for the responses guys. I appreciate the help. Villain actually had pocket 3s so he hit his set on the flop. I was out in 4th and pretty pissed off wondering if I should've done something differently.

    I agree with Nakamura:
    - 600 preflop
    - 2/3 pot on the flop
    - Shove turn

You probably wouldn't have gotten away from the hand even if you didn't shove the flop. This kinda stuff happens, don't sweat it. I'm sure you've probably been on the good end of this kind of hand before as well.

This is a way terrible way to extract value from the hand.

Not much you can do, you want to get some $ out of these hands, but you're gonna get screwed once in a while.
