Since you are playing normal SNGs, you are probably getting to 3-handed play fairly deep. Reading between the lines, you are probably also playing too passively if you are being outplayed too often. This might be a variety of reasons, but most likely you are raise-folding too much.
Also there is an important psychological effect that occurs when the bubble bursts. Since people have made the money, they will (correctly) be much more aggressive and call much wider, just something to be aware of.
I haven't really answered your question, but tougher opponents are generally very aggressive and mix in a lot of re-steals 3-handed. This is because a) they know you have a wide opening range 3-handed and b) they can 3-bet shove AI and put the pressure back onto you.
It would help if you could post the end of game in which you felt you were outplayed so members can comment on specific hands and perhaps spots you are missing.
