need help on final table

well ive started to play a 5 R&A on superior...the tourney is usually made up of 100 or so people with 600-700 for first place and and money for places 1-8. well this tourney is a turbo since blinds increase every 7 min...last night i got into the final table with an avg chip stack of 50k however the BB was 10k..Now trying to blind steal is effective but its very easy for u to get called since the BB is such a huge part of your stack so people will call with semi good hands..i came out in 9th when i tried to steal from the SB with K3 and got called with A2..

my question is what would a good strategy be for this final table..wait to get ITM just play your cards.....b/c im stuck since IMO its just a crapshoot

IMO, if you are short-stacked in a turbo, waiting for cards is not gonna cut it. You've gotta play the red-zone strategy from HOH2. Don't wait around and let someone else steal enough bubble chips to get into the money. You've gotta utilize first-in vigorish, with above avg hands. If you miss the money by 1-2 spots (haven't we all), then that's just tough, and you probably should have been building your stack earlier on, rather than trying to get to the FT. You've probably got 7-10 hands before the blinds go up again, so start opening AI with hands above computer...

If you're average stack with just 5xBB at the final table... my advice is just don't play this tourney. You are right it's a crapshoot. You might as well play slots.

yes youre right but the competition is so easy its just incredible how easy u can build chips..the thing is one steal attempt gone bad and your out (what happend to me) so yeah it can get rough at times but ive only played it two times and have placed 9th and 18th which isnt very bad IMO

Hmm this must be like 10th time I am recommending someone to buy harrington's books, I should start to get some dough from promoting "action Dan's" books

HOH2 for the win.

Turbo MTTs are gamboool fests, there is no strat to defeat the blind, he always wins. If you don't like it, don't play em.

i also don't care much for speed tourneys, less skill involved, aggression is even more important than usual, especially since it's R&A. Of course, you want to win but I'll take a hand off here and there if I'm one off the money with an average chip stack (don't tell anyone!) :P

the conventional wisdom is be even more aggressive in this situation than usual, though.
