Some people will say to fold KQs preflop in early position early in a SNG, depending on your feel for the table that can be the right play; however, limping isnt a horrible choice either. Im fairly unsure of the play here though. I like the raise on the flop, but if you are showing that much aggression you cant just slow down and call the turn and the river. I think a raise on the turn is needed and then go from there. What do others think about this? How would you play this?[/url]

    AUTO FOLD!
Success is how high you bounce after hitting bottom.

I know others disagree, but I don't hate the limp preflop either, particularly because your KQ is soooooted. If raised I'm definitely throwing it away though unless it's a minraise and lots of other players call.

On the flop the raise is good, although with a minbetter and a caller in front I make it a bit bigger, maybe 250 to go. On the turn, you can't flat call the minbet, I reckon at least one of your opps is drawing to the heart flush, why let them see the river for cheap? I raise to 300 on the turn. If called I will probably try to check it down on the river in case you're up against a slowplayed set or two pair.

$5 + .50 = major fishage, top pair with shit kicker or even a jack. Your play is alright although I might have stabbed the turn.

I would advocate a fold as well.

However, as played, when you take the lead and raise the flop, I don't see how you can then call behind a crappy minimum bet on the turn (30 into an 810 pot?!?!!?). Raise the crap out of that.

There can't be too many (if any) hands that you fear here.

Alot of people like limping A Q first of all.
I can see the problem with K Q suited or not. No raises coming from anywhere... Its a playable hand maybe from 1 off the button or in the blinds with no raises. I think you have to know when to let it go though. And the other problem with it is... I can tell you how many Ace high straights I had to split pot with this hand. I have learned not to play this hand in early position though. Iam surely not calling any raises with it. With both of those thoughts said.. Really what good is K Q? Its a great hand in the BB when the flop comes Q K 4. Its good for straights and I play it like any other suited connector if its suited.. No better IMO than 76 suited. But its not a real money maker.. Flop comes Q 7 9 ... youre first to act .. You going lead out and really feel confident you have the best hand? K Q is good for HU pushing and calling.

The limp pre flop is fine if your table is not too aggressive. Why did you just call on the turn and the flop?

Only one hand really worries me here, and that's KJ... Still, I think it pops the turn. I'm putting in a nice value bet on the river, if I don't raise the turn.

    Thanks all for the responses.

I think the consensus is to fold preflop.

Following my post flop bet I didn't know what to do.
The villan calls my raise then fires a min bet on the turn. I was worried about a KJ and 88 and he was trying to trap me.

I didnt consider the flush draw. I got tunnel vison about the KJ or 88 and just wanted to try to show it down as cheap as possible.

In retrospect I guess I would expect KJ or 88 to be a bit more aggressive with the flush draw out there.

Thanks again for the input. Anyone who is curious about the out come...
