    Default Improving your game

I am interested in how and what people do to improve their game.
Maybe me and others can learn a few ways.
I invite anyone who is interested to post a short story about what he does to improve.

    I will start:
When I play a session, I save all hands I am not sure about in a document. After the session I post hands on the forum and I check the ICM hands in SNG wizzard. I used to take a print screen of the tables and paste it in the document, to have the stats of PAHUD of all players. Now I look for the stats in the PT database. I use those stats (VP$IP and PFR%) to set 'accurate' ranges. I also show some 'general' hands to other people for review. I chat with some people about poker as well.

Also I read most posted hands on the forum around my buyin and reply in some. I also try to read books. I am currently reading The Poker Mindset (very good IMO). I review some hands/tournies played by other people as well. Oh and of course I play a lot.
I am just another learning player, so read my comments (very) open minded.

Mattiesmat showed me this method of reviewing sessions about a month ago and I find this way works good. Having the document opening while playing and taking a screen shot of the tables.
So basically i do the same. Read forums/read books. Play (which unfortunatly i CANT right now)
I will be reading KILL EVERYONE starting monday (amazon says ill have it than) , and hopefully be starting my full tilt operation next week as soon as my computer gets here. Im switching to a desktop which kinda sucks , but for the price it will be a lot faster than buying a new notebook.
I was going to get a bestbuy door buster deal notebook but people were camping out in front of best buy 12 hours prior to opening so i said screw that.

Good post. This is more or less what I do:
    - I review all close push/fold hands after each session in SNGPT. If it's really close and I'm really curious I might review it whilst I'm playing the game!
    - I review a random selection of tourneys in PT from start to finish. Sometimes you don't realise you've made a mistake in the game but you do when you look afterwards.
    - I post hands about which I'm not sure on the forums.
    - (You all know this) I try to reply to as many forum posts as I can, including reviewing entire HHs. This is a GREAT way to improve because if I give wrong advice, I get pulled up pretty quickly by other experienced posters.
    - Time permitting, I review hands and tourneys off the forums that are sent to me by a couple of players.
    - I read lots of poker books - I've probably read at least 20 so far including the three Harrington books, Collin Moshman's Sit N Go Strategy, The Poker Mindset, Theory of Poker, Sklansky/Miller's NL Holdem Theory and Practice and various others.

I read as much as I can get my hands on. I also read my own hand historys although I ALWAYS remember where I made mistakes after a tourney. Whether I got away with them or not. Kinda like golf. You never remember the good shots only the bad ones.
