Default ideas for HH of the week videos

    Hey guys,

To make the HH of the week videos, I've just been going through the hand history converter database and finding hands there. The problem with this is that it takes FOREVER. Most of the hands are uninteresting push/fold spots or bad beats. It takes a while to find a hand that I feel like making a video about.

If anyone has ideas for topics that might be interesting to discuss in these videos, please send me a PM. Feel free to also send me hand histories that you find interesting. If I think I can make a video out of it, I will.

I'm not looking for super complicated HH's or anything. The simpler the better, to be honest. Also, any stake is fine. Even if you play micro stakes, feel free to PM HH's that you think are interesting.

    Thanks!

    QFMFT.

Complicated river spots that are close doesn't even have an impact on your long term winrate in comparison to a CO open that comes up over and over again or a BB Cold Call you should be making but never do.

    -- Double barreling

    - Shorthanded spots, maybe from FT bubble or a sh game.
    - Def think squeeze spots would be cool too
    - Playing a fd/sd oop
    - Hands that show the dominance of being in position

spots like this where villain is 20-14-7 over 15 hands, 700 players remaining, really simple perhaps, but what this means
i.e. small-medium stack, premium hand, facing a 3b vs relative unknown, different types of villain, etc.

Can I just second Daven's post here for discussion. This is a spot I hate and it lands me in trouble sometimes.

Doesn't have to be hh of the week thing of course, but some discussion on this would be great

Hey daven, that hand might work for a video. Would you be able to PM me the original hand history?

The ideas in this thread are good, but HH's would really help. Otherwise I still have to search for the spots, which is really time consuming.

back when i actually played the easiest way for me to come up with interesting hands was simply to cut and paste hands where I felt there was actually a decision into like a text file and then just review them the next day.

Often, the hands like the JJ hand above seem super agonizing. But the only reason they really are somewhat interesting is just because they are so close that it doesn't really matter. I mean there are pretty obvious arguments to both shoving and folding in that spot and neither of them can be that bad with 30 BBs w/antes.

If you wanna have really interesting dialague (the first installment wasnt bad cause there are actually alot of profitable ways to play AJo with 20-30bb, but I havent seen the other installments), pick spots where it WILL matter not only what you decide, but the thought process you use to decide it.

Looking forward to checking these out & like some of the ideas posted for sure (don't really have anything to add).

What I typically do while playing is, I open up WordPad & quickly copy/paste a HH that I think I might want to review sometime later '&' I often take a screenshot of it (< makes it easier/quicker to recall what hand was what if I happen to have a bunch of them saved in a folder w/o having to go thru them all).

This is how I feel too. That JJ hand is like w/e, if we can accurately figure out what they are doing it's super easy to play perfectly. Once we get to the awkward stack sizes where we have a tonne of very good options like limp, mr/call, mr/fold, open jam, or fold and start talking about the borderline hands and look at what is most profitable instead of saying X is profitable shit gets really interesting.

I am like you guys and frequently c/p hands into a file to review later after my session. I'm not really looking to make videos about the games I play, though.
