I am trying to get better and I love MTT s so I am gonna give it a go. Please be gentle :P
There are not many flops that are good for T7c. But the way we played it we represent AA (not even KK I think). His stats show that he is not getting into marginal situations cause he raises every hand he plays. I am confused by his minraise and the only thing I can think of is, he could be trapping too...
So as I write these I am lost of what to do. It would be good to know the full preflop action.... He folded, called or 4 bet shoved us? I think the first and last are easy.
If he calls, the question is what is his range in relation to the MP minraise/call. That is tough. It only tells me he has sth like AJ, AT, KQ, KJ, KT or mid pairs 99, 88, 77, or even small pairs like 66, 55. Now why he would call a 3 bet with sth like that if he knows he could be facing AA? I don't know, bad play?. He hopes for a AA beating flop, like trips, boats, broadways, flush if he is suited.
So I agree that if it is a "clean looking flop for AA" we should cbet hard (a bit less than pot size) and fold to a 3-bet.
Am I completely misguided?
