final table?

how often can/should a good mtt player expect to hit final table?

most variables aside, i play 5-10 mtts a day, just wondering how often i should be reaching the FT

this isn't really a good stat to worry about.

FT% as a % of your ITM, is that a better stat or also dependent on field size?

ok so , what % of your ITM should be FT?

I reviewed my performance about a year ago and then i had around 20% itm and 50% of the time i made the money i made the final table, but keep in my mind that some pf the tournaments i play theres only 10 places paid, and on average 20-40 places are paid

ok well that doesnt really relate to me, i play very LARGE mtts, anywhere from 1-5000 people, i have itm 25% as of now(avg over 2 years, but in the last 2 weeks im atleast 50%), but very few final tables, just wonderin how often i should expect FT in that large of a field

15-20% ITM depending on field size is fine
5-10% FT's seems about right (1/2 like Fjaman said) again depending on field size.

I think an important stat is your top 3 rate compared to your final table rate.

well i recently placed 1st place in a 2322 person tournament,

my ITM is 24%

ROI +244%

3 days of playing mtts, not bad IMO

If you look at OfficialPokerRankings.com the #1 FT MTT is ITM 13% and PS is 15% ITM. They both have hundreds of MTT under their belts. I once placed 1st and it shot my % through the roof and my ROI but that was on a sampling of only a half dozen tourneys. I think if you can maintain somewhere in the mid to upper teens your doing well. IMO

You should final table 1 in 10 or 1 in 20 tournies with field sized around 2500?? I must really be bad then.

i do not reach final table that often, i think i played roughly 30 before i made the final table, but when i made the final table, i won

so i guess thats my plan then

I'm ITM 17% of the time according to OPR. I don't know what my FT percentage is but I made two today (fields of 200 and 600 entries) so it must be up!
