Default Example why betting an A high flop with KK is often wrong

Opp's stats up to this point were like 30/0 or thereabouts. IMO this is a good example of where I found out "where I was at" far more cheaply by check/calling rather than betting on any street. Thoughts?

This is a somewhat common line for me OOP.

If they bet hard pot+ i let it go, its still early and your not out many chips.

But yea, they take me to value town with small bets like this.

When he makes small bets like this I rarely but him on an Ace. I am looking to get 3 (small) bets out of him somehow.

There are pros and cons for playing the hand the way you did
    pros:
    1. You keep the pot relatively small if you are behind
    2. You extract chips that you would probably not get if you are ahead

    cons:
    1. You let your opponent catch up if you are ahead, villian could easily bet hands like KJ, QJ and you give him two chances to improve to beat you
    2. You expose yourself to bluffing much more, when you raise preflop and then check-call flop and turn and check river it is very likely you do not have an A, so a decent size bet on the river will get you to fold
