AKo- hate these spots.

Was playing the big 5.50 on stars 2800 runners, about 500 left. No stats on villain - new table.

Blinds were 500 / 1000 cant remember the ante.

I've got 50K -double avg. Villain has 39K.

I raise AKo to 2.5K from mid position. He 3 bets me to 10K from the cut off.

4-bet jam? Normal 4-bet but whats our plan for postflop? Flat OOP?!

I got a bit thrown by the pretty large 3-bet.

I am assuming with only 500 left you were already in the money. Given it is a new table and without knowing much else I think I would have pushed in response to his 3 bet. You have got to take some chances during the game and this seems a decent shot at doubling up.

I'm not familiar with the payout table in this particular tournament, but it's have to be quite flat to pay more than 500 out of 2800. About 10% of the field is common, and 15% would be flatter. In neither case would the bubble have broken yet.

I just jam, no 4bet size that you can after fold after so you may as well skip that. 18k/c jam any flop is ok but I doubt it changes much. Based upon his sizing he is clearly an idiot. He likely folds occasionally and we have okish 40% equity vs TT AK even. With a bit of money dead and assuming he folds sometimes its eh. I do not know if we should discount KK and esp. AA given it is so big but the reality is his sizing is retarded no matter what his hand.

Also I hate folding so thats a good reason to jam.

Just for the record yesterday the big 5.5 had 8.1k runners and today's 5.5 has 7.9k (it's still running)
I think OP is referring to the Hot 5.5 which had 3.4 runners and it's a turbo
I would happily put my money in here vs unknown

I think you can discount KK-AA when you see a 3bet this big, so shove
