    Post stack sizes.

I don't think AK is good enough to fourbet with preflop. I'd probably just call the reraise most of the time. Flop is standard.

I should have bet 1/2 or 3/4th of the pot? I thought by giving him 3:1 odds would be callable. I dont want a call... But how can I really get payed?

i might go for a check raise on the flop. play it like a PP that is afraid of the K, or an AQ that got too frisky preflop and is now very unhappy. gotta figure opp for a PP or a decent A, so let him bet then push. get a little more out of him. chances are he's not on the flush draw, and if the third spade hits on the turn, you do have the K of spades. i dont think that there are many turn cards that will scare you here if he does check behind.

    Sigh.

When are you going to learn that giving your opponent good odds to call is just asking to get sucked out on? You have TPTK but there's a flush draw on the board. Yes, you want draws to call but ONLY with marginal/incorrect odds to do so. Play this hand fast - by either pushing a/i on the flop or check/raising your opponent a/i.

You have a tendency to semi-slowplay good hands like there is no possibility that your opponent can improve...but they can! So make them pay if they want to try.

plus, if you make a weak ass bet whenever you get a decent-good hand, but a bigger bet when you are trying to steal a pot, then you will be very easy to read. a bet like that looks like you have connected with the flop and want someone to play with you, which you do. its amazing how a large bet may be more likely to get a call in a lot of situations, when a smaller bet will elicit a fold. so make the larger bet. when you get called, you get more, and when someone folds, you still get the pot. one more bonus is, if you make people pay dearly to try and draw out on you, some people may be less likely to try and play a drawing hand against you when the blinds are bigger. you will have less trounle taking down pots preflop if people are afraid of your postflop aggressive nature.

So do not check raise.. 2 X the pot? Just check raise all in ?

yes, if your check raising, it HAS to be all in.

The pot is 1000, which is around the size of your stack. Any raise other than all in is pot commiting yourself and giving him a chance to outdraw you.

I might take the check/raise line because its not likely he's going to check behind after all that preflop strength.

    Options :

    1. Push all in on the flop
    2. Check/raise all in on the flop
