A10 Vs. 65 VPIP Villian 6.50

Flop lead ok? I planned on folding to agression until i noticed villians stats so i figured i was ahead of his range here a majority of the time. He was a little over 65 vpip after about 30 hands , small sample size but still. If i didn't close the action (if someone else called my flop lead or called his re raise) i would have just dumped it but given villian is getting it in here vs this player ok/standard?
LOL my re raise is meant to put him all in , just had other actions and hurried up and clicked raise bar a few times , obv not enough but yeah...

His flop mini-raise is meh kind of retarded, I actually detest these mini-raises and usually from donkeys they have a monster, unless you've got a read that he's a mini-donk raising clown and does it with anything and everything. It's a pretty nice board for you so unless he's missed the Ace I can't see much that we're ahead of.

I like the flop lead, but I think you could make a case for folding and conserving the other 700 odd chips.

What were his PFR stats? If he had 65% VPIP but 0% PFR then I'd be a bit worried about AJ+ here. If he had 40% PFR then I'd be reasonably confident he'd raise anything that dominated us preflop.

We still need to fear 88, 33, A8 and A3 (and a slowplayed AA) in any case, but in a vacuum I probably play as you did and put him AI after his min-raise (which BTW Skeeno, are not always monster hands).

Yeah I'm aware they're not always monsters . . but just lately every time I see one - which is pretty regularly, the donkey tends to have the screaming nuts or as close too.

If the villain hasn't shown any previous aggression post-flop I'd be laying this down, if he's generally pretty agressive post-flop then I have no problem getting it in as he could be doing this with a widish range inc any middlish pair, any 8 etc, if he's shown no previous aggression what type of hands is he betting which we are ahead of?

A9/A7/A6/A5/A4/A2. A lot of villains, even not super-aggressive ones, can't lay down top pair any kicker and may not always just flat call our flop bet.
