    Default 88 vs ep raise

This is in a 109€ satellite but play is generally soft. villain has ran 17/13/4.8 3bet and 50 steal attempt so generally solid. Been opening alot more since blinds went up.

    CO ($8,244)
    BTN ($3,185)

    Dealt to Hero 8 8

UTG raises to $485, fold, fold, fold, fold, fold, fold, [color=red]Hero raises to xxx or calls or jams

Never folding obviously but should I raise, it felt too deep to jam but I like to jam and it instantly wins me a 1k pot.

I think you could argue for all choices. I would probably just flat but it's like a borderline stack. With 4bb less I love jam and with 4bb more I hate jam.

I actually prefer a go'n'go here to a jam pre because a raise to 2k just puts the fear of god into pretty much everyone here and then you can flip your positional disadvantage into an advantage, but a call is totally fine as well.

I would 3-bet pre, 2k-2.5k, and if he flat calls behind then I would shove flop. If he 4-bets then I would tank it and think about past hands to see how wide his 4-betting range is.
