180man Sanity Check

    Default 180man Sanity Check

So I assume the chiplead 70-handed and then either I play bad or the deck just goes super-cold.

First AK hand is certainly debatable, but both players sucked at poker and I don't mind gambling to get a big stack.

Turb0 180man, last hand we're 24-handed and the BTN just doubled up, he is 20/20 over 15 hands.

I must be missing something. You go from 40M to 21.39M without anythign happening?

well it's a turbo, so the blinds went from 100/200 Ante 25 to 150/300 Ante 50 I guess
  4. #4
yea, Im retarded and didn't even think of that. I honestly don't see any hands that you should have played differently. Oh the joys of the tubos.

a bunch of these are debatable spots here is what i personally do

    hand 1 (ak)- fold

hand 2 (a7)- i guess i dont hate the play

hand 3 (aa)- i mean i would do what you did, the only thing i can think of is maybe minraising or checking just because its a very dry board and you want to give him a card to catch up and at least pick up a draw

    hand 4(44)- easy fold

hand 5 (kq)- also easy fold, nice job of not c-betting into a pot with a huge amount of players, its definitely one of my pitfalls

hand 6(aa)- unlike the last aces hand you definitely have to bet, id probably shoot out one that was pot sized, but yours is fine too

all those folds are fine....you def went card dead lol

hand 7 (aj)- tough one, i mean i guess your play is fine here, i think id rather hear what some others have to say though
  6. #6
yea they're crazy, just got 3rd and 4th in two of them at the same time (with in 5 min. of each other) sooooo much variance

Preflop sucks in the 44 hand, why are you playing for set value vs. a bunch of less than 15 BB deep guys?

Looks perfect otherwise. No big deal not winning a pot for 3 orbits, it happens.
  9. #9
what would you guys want me to do with A7 against an 11BB stack in B v B

yea, the 44 felt weird, I guess fold/shove

I'm perfectly fine w/ not winning a pot in 3 orbits, but not even playing one seemed bad in a turbo, looking back on it there was like one spot that was even close (KQs), otherwise Lee Jones just shat on me I guess.

I shove a fairly wide range on a 11bb stack when sb vs. bb. When things go good in 180s you feel like you can't lose. But when they go bad............the variance will drive you insane at times. Just keep playing good standard poker and you will do well in these. I would keep the bluffing down and steal less. Chip preserve is important. You won't have that many opportunities to steal blinds due to stack sizes late.
  12. #12
I ship the A7, too, but I also ship the AA hand right after it. If you want to shove bad hands over the short stacks, you also have to shove the good ones, because you'll get called by a lot of Ax, Kx, and lower pocket pairs. I actually love picking up AK or JJ-AA right after I've open shoved. I just do it again and get a lot more calls than you would think.
