Assuming he never has the ace is a poor assumption imo, because we don't know anything about how this guy plays nutty hands. And making this assumption skews his range in our favour, making us more confident than we should be. I doubt it makes any difference here, but it probably would if we were holding 77.
I understand where your coming from but I still think he hardly ever has the ace with this line. Why is he only betting 250 into 550 pot on a flush draw board then then betting pot for 1050? It looks to me like he is betting 250 to try to steal the pot then after we call continues to try to take it by putting us all in. Taipan what did he end up having here?
