Wtf Gross Spot vs Lagg 330bb's Deep

Villain has been crushing the table. I have him running at 32/21 and he's been on a huge heater (or else he's been lucky to never get called besides with the goods).

I open for 7$ with from HJ.

Donk calls from SB, villain overcalls from BB.

Flop (21$) is

Checked to me, I pot it.

Donk folds, villain calls

Turn (pot 60$) is

Villain checks, I bet 55$.

Villain calls.

River (170$ pot) is

Board now reads

Villain checks, I bet 155$

Villain insta-shoves. 430$ for me to call into 900$ish.

when i read this hand, it was definitely not a OMGWTF INSTA-CALL type hand. it was OMGWTF do i do???

not only that, hero's bet almost pot 3 times, which shows considerable strength, and even after pushing, villain is offering hero almost 2:1 odds, which is VERY tempting to call, which leads to believe it's more likely he has at least an ace here.

I've been spending the past 10 minutes trying to work out whether or not Hero really did backdoor the 2nd nuts..

Given the fact that you backdoored the flush and it's thereofre a small portion of your range, i definitely call. Plus there are weaker flushes he may value shove here, given the way the board has come out.

BBFIDTS. I rarely lay this down in PL Omaha unless the guy's a total nit. There's no way we fold here. This is KJ (not clubs) or Tcxc way more often than the nuts.

I call this instantaneously. If he has the nuts then you can just stick your finger down your throat and draw pictures in the vomit.

If you're even THINKING about folding this you shouldn't be playing this deep. Get up and find a new table.

You hit your backdoor flush. He can't put you on that...I insta call as Kx clubs is only a small part of his range and is unlikely you both backdoored a flush. If he has it, then puke. But I call this every time with the 2nd nuts.

Do ppl think there is a cut off for folding to a strong CR this deep with a flush?

With his stats versus yours, i can see him looking you up over multiple streets with second pair here if we have the image of firing multiple times.

He could EASILY have 7c8c, Tc8c,Tc7c...

folding here is just fucking sick when he has a backdoor draw, but then i remember that sickish hand i posted from 2/4 where i backdoored it against the flopped nuts.

zomg its a fold, but at these stakes it just cannot be vindicated as a good one.

He is much more likely to have KJ here. If you had 2c3c then it would be a tough spot.

If villain had one of these lower flushes, what would be his best play on the river. I think even with THESE flushes, check-call seems almost too tight by villain, since hero could be value betting all sets and two pairs on the river.

that s what made me wonder about this spot

with the line I took (being villain w KcTc) I think my range is almost 100% the hand I had.

if I were in position here with an 8 or 7 high flush I really think I d only be bluff-catching by calling the CR

with a lower flush I think the temptation would be to lead river... but would bet/fold be an option?

i was just surprised villain took so long to call (if you read the whole thread I was villain w KT of clubs) w 2nd nuts so it made me wonder what kind of flush (if any) would be good to fold to this huge CR.

IMO you cant fold the second runner nuts even this deep in a game at 200nl. Having said that at 400nl the skill level is increased so perhaps we have to call with more hands but at the same time so much money wouldnt be on the line as a bluff.

I wont fold second runner nuts here, but id fold any other flush i think for THAT much money.

i m not sure... i might play it the same way, but i can def say that knowing i had nut draw on turn made it easier for me to call rather than pull a "scary" turn check raise
