Don't bother trying to teach. In my experience they don't care. They will pick up things from you as time goes on.

Pre-flop is such a small part on NL holdem. Use these loose games to work on your post-flop game. Identify who will fold, and bet into them on scary flops. Identify who will call, abuse their undersized bets and willingness to call by drawing (even thin draws like gutshots, 2 overs, etc). This is a lot of fun IMO.
