What about this TPTK hand?

Default What about this TPTK hand?

I'm not sure about my preflop play, and what do you do differently on the flop? Sometimes I just call here and then bet the turn again to see if they slow down or give up on the semi bluff, but instead I decided to reraise and see if that slowed him down which it didn't. Also, I didn't reraise preflop because of my bad position postflop. Since I didn't knock more people out, I suppose I should be faster to let go of this hand if I hit pressure from someone who limped in.

I've just sat at the table so I don't have much for reads except that I have noticed this guy get all his money in a couple times with the best hand.

...folds. I would only call if he had been über aggro.

I dont see him pushing on the flop with anything that you could possibly beat. Not that many players push wih just TPGK or a flush draw in ring. I do like your re-raise, this is something I have started to do myself, re-raising for information. I think you saved yourself a lot of money here.. Well played, if you folded!

I could think he had AA, KK is another possibility. lots of people are afraid of betting more with aces thinking they dont want everyone to fold.

    Smackin-

I hope you folded. I really like the reraise there for information, that was good. But if you ignored the information it gave you by calling his push anyway, then it was not only useless it is -EV all the way to China. I wonder if you're gonna show how lucky you got

Also, just a comment about your calling AQ there instead of reraising preflop: AQ is one of those hands where you're in that situation a lot, do I raise or just call because of bad position post flop? Because you called, the opponent has to at least consider that you had a low PP, like a 3 or a 6 (if he is any good at all, which you don't really know at this point since it's early) to hit trips. If he's betting like that with the set possibility (which you indicated was possible through the reraise) then he probably has you beat.

Do you think it's possible that he has AQd for TPTK flush draw? I see that play often @ $100NL so I'm curious to see if you thought that was an option for you to put him on. Also if he had 45D for the OES and Flush draw together, this is similar. But here he's so agressive against your demonstrated agression that this is probably not the case.
In answer to your question... it depends...

Shit yea I folded! I was just checkin in with you guys to see what you thought. So preflop wasn't horrible, and you liked the reraise...thats good to hear. I just couldn't put him on KQ or less, so I made that 30$ back against the guy later. He ended up being pretty solid so I'm glad I folded.

On a random note, I get to put bigger numbers in my "net" column whenever I write "didn't try any big bluffs at all" in my "comments" column...
