    Default Steal the split pot?

I don't have any specific reads but the table in general has been quite loose-passive. I'm playing Lag, 33/23 or something.

River push likey / no likey?

This is a dumb question (from a dumb player) but why are you so sure it is a split spot? Couldn't have villain played the same way with 99?

From his point of view... i think i'd put you on anything but a 9 and insta call, i don't mind a push, but i don't mind a check. Fold FTW

Probably explains why I am loosing with 1 pair

So what kind of hands do you put villain on after his turn call?

Thing is.. if he has a 9 he is shoving the river and you have to call (right?) so might as well shove yourself and have some FE.

I personally love to try and steal split pots when I have position. If they check you're 100% sure they don't have the split beat so you only need to see a fold a low % of the time to beat the rake to be +EV..

With $800+ dollars in the pot already, i would definately not check, but i truly believe the only hand that calls a push is a 9. Why not value bet say $650 and make it "LOOK MORE" obvious that you have a 9 rather then push and put the opponent on "is he bluffing or bs" scenario... in my experiences the villain has always had the goods when i did this exact move!! Plus imo, i respect and fear the Value bet more than a Push here!!

That is exactly the thing you are trying to accomplish here.

As i said, i dont think a lot of hands fold here, which is why i didn't like the push.

Can't he expect to have 15-21 outs here? double-gutshot + f/d + overs (well, 9's are probably not outs, but jacks could be).
nUnless hero has exactly 69, or better spade draw? Plus hero could have air. Does hero really always have a 6? I don't think so.
