She is a normal middle stakes player, Slagg. I havent seen her 3-betting, at least I cant remember such hand. She probably views me as a borderline maniac who is re-raising pretty lightly. Leading the flop is always an option but I didnt do it here so lets not go to that here. I was 95% sure she would cont. bet and I wanted to squeeze pawelb in.

No reason to give this player a chance to get away from one pair on the flop. Check-raise-call is probably best.

Would you have attempted another check-raise on a non-diamond turn? I think check-raising all-in on the turn is probably best. She is almost certainly making a substantial bet, and will be pot-committed to calling your raise. So you get all your chips in with what is almost certainly the best hand, and you avoid playing an awkward river card (which is one problem with leading, as she will probably only raise with a flush or K-K, meaning she only calls a high percentage of the time).

This is a boss media skin right? [Maria] is a regural at the 5 max tables there. I play 1-2 tables with her almost every day, up to 3/6. She is actually way too tight for a short handed table. I have never seen her 3 bet either. My line here would probably be the same, but I would probably push the flop like Aces suggested, although I dont think she'll call with AA/AK, she's too tight for that. My guess here is she folded on the turn unless she had KK.

Given the info I have on this player, I am 99% sure she checks behind AA/AK and maybe calls a value bet on the river. A 4th diamond on the river is really bad of course, as you mentioned.

I put her on AK/AA and I really couldnt see her calling my push with those holdings, hence not going AI on the flop. I am also pretty sure that she as a decent player would check the turn behind for pot control, and/or to get a diamond. (if she had a diamond). That diamond messed this hand but I am still not sure if she would call on turn anyways.

On party I probably would've pushed the flop, though.

I'd also push the flop, I don't think it's any more likely you'll get her stack by just calling on the flop, I rather think it's less likely you'll get her stack by doing this. On the flop there is at least a chance she'll put you on a draw hand call your push, on the turn there isn't really.

Perhaps. But usually when a player puts out a big reraise on the flop like this, they aren't interested in pot control. I think if she has a high diamond, she's even more likely to bet the turn after this action.
