I'm finishing up the brackets now so you have a 15 minute warning if you want in. As of now we have 31 so 1 spot left.

Alright so how I did the brackets was I gave everybody a number based on the order of paid on the first page of this thread. Then I went to www.random.org and did a random number sequence which paired everybody up.

The sequence can be found below:


With 31 entries there was 1 bye given out at random. The bye was assigned number 32 and paired up accordingly.

Since today is kind of a write off you will have 8 days to complete your first round match. Your match must be completed by Wednesday March 18 at midnight eastern time. I would suggest you shoot your victim a pm with your schedule and work something out from there.

When you are going to play your match I would post in this thread with a couple of hours warning so people can side bet or rail or whatever. Once you have a winner also post in this thread so I can update the brackets.

kettle - glad to know I'm not THAT spewy haha. Actually the first match vs Marshall ended pretty quick, and he won that one. I called a 3bet IP with 88, and 160ishbb effective. He had been 3betting a TON and I had been folding a ton.

Flop was KQxhh. He bet and I called (figured he'd bet his entire range on this flop, including all lowerpairs, AJ,AT, AQ etc). Turn was a 9x. He bet again, and I figured this was prob a really good card in the deck for me to shove and get him off better if I was behind (instead of.... you know... being a normal humanbeing and folding when I have no equity when called). I ship 88 over his bet of $87, for like $280 total and he calls with 999. gg first match.

I think losing the first match really tightened me up hardcore for the next two, which were pretty good. GG Marshall!

Yah the 88 hand, my turn read could definitely have been wrong. I hadn't called many of your 3bets yet, so I wasn't sure how you played in 3bet pots. You were playing veeeeery aggro though, and thought you might barrel me light here. But if that's not the case, the shove is clearly even more spewy than it already was!

I can't blame you for calling the river. The flop was actually JT7dd which makes it even MORE drawy heavy. I could have had KQ, AQ, all FD's. Really depends what level you think I'm on when I'm betting river when all draws blank I guess. ul with AJ there.

Naah once you call, I put you mostly on FD's or Ax. If you lead a blank turn (3x) I miiiight float it though... depends on timing. Your flop timing on the donk lead had me convinced you didn't have Ax, so you owned me there

Yeah I started to notice you were picking up timing tells off me for when I flopped a hand out of position that I was stronger when I thought about what to do for a few more seconds, so I tried to use it against you with some of those overbets as bluffs and to act more quickly for value like in that AT. Wasn't enough thoguh, dunno what I coulda done better or differently, any advice?
