Tough beat, gacowboy. Honestly, I don't think you could've done much to win that hand or get out of that hand cheaply. I think you only had two choices that could have altered things:
One would have been to go all-in preflop, but the Player with JJ may have called and beat you anyway. Plus, I rarely make a play like that with AA because I try to get more action than that. So, that's one course of action.
The other would have been to fold to the re-raise on the pot-sized bet at the turn. He could have been holding a 5 to make trips (he limped in pre-flop), but laying down the AA in this spot is also a tough decision (and maybe not the right one!).
Overall, I don't think there's much you could have done. I don't think a pre-flop raise would have changed anything. Sometimes, you just lose to inferior hands, and that's all part of the game. Better luck next time!
