Default I dont think im good enough for blind stealing..

Villain is a 45/15 monkey who folds to aggression but will pounce if you show weakness. No one has made many steal attempts here, probably because its lowstakes, so ive got nothing on how / if he defends.

so i guess my question is two fold:
    A) Any real value to stealing in 50NL games
    B) If so, what are you stealing with. Are suited one gappers ok, such as below?
    C) I play it goot?

    Absolute Poker
    No Limit Holdem Ring game
    Blinds: $0.25/$0.50
    6 players
    Converter

    Stack sizes:
    UTG: $51.40
    UTG+1: $24.80
    CO: $18.85
    Hero: $61.10
    SB: $59.90
    BB: $134.60

    Pre-flop: (6 players) Hero is Button with 7 5
3 folds, Hero raises to $2, SB calls, BB folds.

    Flop: J 7 T ($4.5, 2 players)
SB checks, Hero bets $3.5, SB calls.

    Turn: A ($11.5, 2 players)
    SB checks, Hero checks.

    River: 9 ($11.5, 2 players)
    SB bets $10, Hero raises all-in $55.6

1- Yes (especially if there are nut camping nits to your left)

    2- Yes. See below

3- A hand like that is not a pure steal. It has some post flop usefullness. I think you played it fine.

theres probably some validity that we think about it more often.

But I know its nowhere near as necessary due to the large size of late-round betting, yet in a 1k hand session at one table we'll go around a 6 person table 166 times, so we'll be in the BB 166 times and in the SB 166 times.

    In 50NL terms thats 166*.50 + 166*.25 = 83 + 41.5 = $124.5 or about 2.5 buyins just in paying blinds

so clearly, theres money to be had.

But then again on a steal youre risking 4xBB to win 1.5BB so it has to suceed a very large percent of the time.

I think it's a cheap way to keep your image loose, and gets you paid off more often. Alot of the 50NL games are quite tight and or weak.

raising with 75s on the button isn't stealing blinds, it's raising with a good hand in position.

And bet the turn on that hand, the A is a scare card for him probably. I like the river.

i like the turn check. He calls a lot, and sometimes you get shoved off your draw.

Stop trying to steal 1.5BB at $25NL and $50NL when guys will be willing to bet stacks on the river with TPGK or worse. Why get involved with bad players calling from the blinds with hands like K4s or 89o.

i don't really agree with this general sentiment, but in this case it applies. Raising 75s against bad 40+vpip players probably isn't plus ev.

id prefer an equity edge versus someone we know will call with crap and take it too far.
