It's a function of your edge. For lower buy-ins 20BI (5%) is enough, but as you move up players are obv. better meaning your edge (assuming we are still long term winners) over them is lower => lower edge means swings are harder, BR requirements go up, etc, etc.

Regarding your example of $5K Br I would play 100s a little more till like 6K and then take shot at 200s (somewhat tougher but still beatable). This is for standard 'slow' ones. However, since you asked about "$220 $110 $55 $33" instead of "$200 $100 $50 $30" that means TURBOs, right? In that case I would suggest way more BIs since turbos are waaaaaaaaaay more swingy. There are examples of solid 'slow' winners who couldn't even figure out if they are still winners after switching to turbos until they had big sample.
