Just so I can be clear3.5 x whatever the raise was? And an extra 1 x for each additional caller? So in this case you'd have raised 5.5 x $6.50?
If somebody raised to $7 preflop I would reraise to about $24 total, $17 more to call. With a raise and a call I would reraise to about $31 or so, $24 more to call. If there is a raise and 2 callers, I might make it 5x, but I'm not going to make an enourmous overbet either. Use your best judgement to what you think will get the pot heads up or taken down unconstested.
