How (bad) did I do?

Default How (bad) did I do?

My image is really tight, Fgators probably isn't calling this raise with even JJ. Other guys is 60/12 fish except he has an extremely low WTSD% of 12%, except he has only a 30% fold to cbet%. Pretty weak also in general.

very marginal on literally every street- id generally shy away from these plays at ur stakes as they dont have enough metagame value to make up for the variance/thin to negative EV they cause

I think its marginal. I think it potentially folds out KK/QQ.

I think there are a lot of hands that can get to this turn though that are calling you. AA obviously, AJ, KQ, AQclubs, AKclubs, JJ, 1010.

Even if you have a tight image, this is a good spot for you to squeeze, so Fgators may call you lighter than you'd think.

    Why?

    Question number 2

Was the Ace a good or bad card?

I think sauce's description is correct, but i'd like to hear what you'd do differently. Not cbet the flop? I think the play on it's own with no postflop value was +EV so I don't think I shouldn't squeeze.

Note villain is a 60/12 or something like that so i'd expect his range on the flop to be a whole lot (A lot of pp's id think), and i'd expect to be beating him sometimes when he called (ie 89 Q9)

ur play preflop is particularly terrible vs a 60/12- and not marginal just spew

    betting the flop is good

shoving the turn is very difficult to evaluate but i would guess its +ev against this player as opposed to check/folding- and the ace is a good card definitely

I'd like to hear further reasoning on this because there are so many hands opp has to play oop that he will actually be behind with. Although I understand exploting this player isn't raising marginal hands preflop.

    Don't squeeze this player.

    Reasons to squeeze:
    1. you have a tight image
    2. fgators opened and he opens relatively wide but doesnt call 3bets very wide
    3. you think u can outplay him postflop
    4. there is a 60/12 in the pot who probably has a weak hand
    5. you probably can outplay a 60/12

    Reasons not to squeeze:
    1. You have K9o which plays terribly in a 3bet pot vs both of their ranges
    2. Fgators is a thinking player
    3. other player is a 60/12- 60/12s dont fold preflop often once they have called a raise
    4. 60/12 has a 30% fold to cbet- meaning you will likely need either the best hand or invest ur stack to win a pot when called by 60/12

I think the reasons not to squeeze are more compelling than the reasons to squeeze-however ur play of this hand is by no means terrible just its going to give u sick variance and u can never KNOW that it is going to be +EV against either players range.

I hope this is a joke.

Anyways though, Everyone is right in saying that a squeeze is bad here because you're getting called a lot by the donk.

yeha i think the main thing you did wrong is try this vs a 60/12. They are calling, and callingyour flop bet a lot if they call the pre bet. I would prob shove the turn but its pretty thin, you kinda cornered yourself.
