The preflop reraises seems to indicate that he had Jacks or Queens. Me thinks you are in good shape.

I don't think he would over bet the pot if he had pocket nines or pocket aces. I would guess he has either tens, jacks, queens or overs, in which case you have got him beat.

Easy push. Were you calling the preflop reraise for set value, or to trap? Have you seen this villian make an overbet like this before? The overbet makes it really easy to get the money in, but in most cases I prefer leading out here for something like $20 or so. If he repops you (which is likely), you can either push or just call and get the rest in on the turn.

    Evil_Ecstasy is all-In [$160.35]
    scalper4U calls [$90.35].
    ** Dealing Turn ** [ 4s ]
    ** Dealing River ** [ 7c ]
scalper4U shows [ Ad, As ] a pair of aces.
    Evil_Ecstasy doesn't show [ Kh, Kd ] a pair of kings.
scalper4U wins $350.70 from the main pot with a pair of aces.

I should have known he had aces, I was just too damn stubborn. He would only do a ridicolous overbet on the flop with aces like that, trying to get a weaker pocket pair (which is what im sure he put me on) to call.

I don't think you should beat yourself up over this hand. Unless you have some kind of read on this guy and what this kind of flop overbet means, you can't possibly think of this as a bad play on your part. You disguised your hand perfectly, and put yourself in perfect position to stack a lower over pair, but ran into the one and only hand you were afraid of. If you 3-bet preflop, and he pushed over that and you still called, you might be justified in saying "I should have known he had aces, I was just too damn stubborn." And you didn't just have a "weaker pocket pair", you had the 2nd best starting hand in holdem.

PS: This also means monster implied odds against this guy if he always overbets the flop like that. Start raising those small pairs preflop!

I think when you have K-K vs. an unknown player showing a lot of preflop strength, your decision is probably roughly breakeven in terms of expectation. I usually like to just fold in these situations and find more certain times to get my money in, since poker offers many, especially against weaker players. While you might be folding the best hand occasionally and missing out on a big pot, you also avoid losing an equally large pot, which will probably happen at least 50% of the time anyways.
