I think it's a fold unless he's real rarely doing it with more then one pair. You're calling 40% of the pot...

I would play. If you want to fold I think taking free card is better. you can't be a huge dog and he may even have worse FD.

Thats what I did, I felt that this is a pair+flush draw or straight+flushdraw a lot of the time. Its rather unusual that people play a made straight a set or two pair like that.

Edited: Ah, never mind. Ran the cards--I guess you're fairly even against villain's range. I don't know, I think I'd wait for a better spot, but then again, I'm a complete pussy.

I'd call this because of all the draw possibilities he could have.

Well the call is also +EV against an overpair less than AA. I have some straight possibilities too. He might even do this with a hand like QJs KQs

You're 47-53 behind non-spade overpairs and 45-55 behind one spade overpairs.

Yes, he may have a set. He may have AA. You still have outs if so. If he showed you a set, you could fold. He didn't. If Bill had told us opp was a nut peddler, we could fold. But instead, Bill tells us he is a donkey. He can make this play with a wide range - against which we are never drawing dead, often a flip and sometimes even ahead.
