    Default 50-100nl

ok. after playing 50 and 100 nl for a little bit, i have a couple questions.

In party 50 and 100NL, i find my continuation bets are rarely respected, no matter how often I throw them out. Does it stay this way up through the levels? What do you do to combat this, or is it just normal and live with it? Do you often commit more $ than a continuation bet costs with missed cards?

How often do you reraise preflop? gabe said in another thread he reraises a lot. is this against everyone? if there's a tight ass there with a 3 pfr would you still reraise him with a wide range, and do most good 6max players do this?

If you had to say, on average, how frequently you pushed all in, called or not, how often would it be? answer however you want, a lot, a little, once per 100, whatever.
i betcha that i got something you ain't got, that's called courage, it don't come from no liquor bottle, it ain't scotch

if at a particular table your cbets arent respected, just stop making them. or, try firing a 2nd barrel more often. its really profitable to know who you need to fire 2 barrels against. i think bob ciaffone said thats one of the most important skills in nlhe.

i only reraise people who i think are thinking players who are predictable. i didn't really do this at 50/100nl, though.

Try to pick better c-bet spots. Check behind with TPTK sometimes. Mix up your game so they don't know what to think when you bet out on the flop. I am new to shorthanded, but heres my criteria for flop betting.

When someone limps UTG or HJ and I raise on BTN or CO, I automatically c-bet any highcard flop (representing top pair to their probably underpair).

When I raise on BTN or CO, and someone calls in the blinds, if they are a decent player, I only bet flops I hit. A good player only calls raises oop with a great hand. If s/he isn't a decent player, I auto c-bet garbage flops and paired flops.

If I raise in UTG or HJ, I bet almost ever flop.

If I threebet anyone preflop, I bet any flop (representing overpair).

I'd like to know what others think of my strategy. Any thoughts, Gabe?

yea, see generally i don't make cbets anymore, or i rarely do. but this can be somewhat expensive at times, and i feel wimpy just check/folding with a hand like ak/aq every time i miss when i know my op probably has J2 most of the time. I feel like my image gets to be too tight at tables unless i start raising hands that I really don't think are profitable. Raising suited connectors on the button isn't very profitable when people don't fold to cont bets, but I feel like i kill my action if i'm playing 15/10.

and renton what do you do in a case like this. you raise on the button, someone from the blinds who is 60/10/5 calls. whiff the flop, now what? if i bet, they will certainly call, and I really know jack shit about their hand. i have no problem not continuation betting against respectable players, but its against morons that it bothers me that i'm check folding to their likely garbage because they're inclined to call me down with bottom pair or whatever.
