Your line doesn't make sense but the turn call can't be a strong hand either.. Do you always bet close to pot btw?

Sometimes I check an overpair (or a set) with the intention of check-raising the guy in late position who takes a stab at it with middle pair. I was trying to make it look like I had an overpair or set that was trying to check-raise on the flop and when that didnt work out, trying to extract as much value as possible.

I dont always bet the pot, just wanted to put a lot of pressure on him here so I bet very close to the pot with each bet.

what could he possibly call $250 on the turn with. with the K hes leading out obv. flush draw poss but not probable. maybe he flopped it QJ. i dunno. i suck.

he could be calling on the turn with a T. thinks that hero didn't hit the K (and he would be right) and so thinks his T is good enough. villain 2 didnt show any strength so its unlikely he has a hand.
    is this possible?
