    Default 1/2 turn raise bluff.

vill is 31/27 15% 3b over 200~ hands. He likes to 3b a lot from the blinds. The few times i've called he has either cbet and c/f the river( on JTxxx rainbow) Or c/f flop (2 times both on lo drawy boards). So he is playing pretty smug postflop.

My image is Laggy but i've not shown down anything stupid yet.

    Thoughts?

think i'd prefer a call. why do you raise the turn?

edit: what do you hope to fold out?

Rather do this against a person who seems tighter or you know can make a fold. I don't feel like you know he can make a fold.

33/50% 99,88/Q9/QQ/JT = 29 combos he is probably shoving over this raise
AQ/KK/AA/Q8 = 33 combos we expect he'll fold some % of the time
combo draws he could shove with = (ATcc, T9cc, etc) ~6 combos

he has to fold 55% of the time for your raise to be +EV

uncertainty about how he'll play Q8/KK+ makes this pretty marginal

    I'd make it $115 instead.

i like a smaller raise too. would suck if he shoves with a worse hand or draw and you have to fold on the turn.

if you made it 115, its exactly a pot sized bet on the river...
pocketfours - if he calls, do you shove any river or what would your river sizing be if you're turning this hand into a bluff?

    Not bluffing any rivers.

small raise + not bluffing any rivers seems pretty brutal, we have no chance of making him fold better

honestly i prefer a call here given dynamics, his 1/2 pot cbet, and our equity vs his range.. and fold most rivers
Nine to five is how to survive - I ain't trying to survive / I'm trying to live it to the limit and love it a lot //

Not really what I'm trying to accomplish. I like my hand vs this guy.

You're trying to make him call with worse, or induce a shove? Seems bad to me, in this spot with this hand, our raise is definitely a bluff.

Works pretty well vs these smallballer aggros in my experience and it's not a vacuum play either. Fairly easy to get a call from pair with gutter+ type of hands. Also bare clubs, TT and even Ax that hit a pair and was betting thin. Not very worried at all about getting 3bet off the best hand.

Of course you might see a turn fold from KQ once in a while but I'm by no means counting on it. I'm folding it myself though since we're deep and oop.

Woah forgot about this hand. The turn raise in this hand was a fictional line created by me, as I wanted to know what some people thought of it, and whether or not it was better then the line i chose.

I shoved river giving him good odds to call, but would he ever think me crazy enough ? Having JcJd is good for us obv, and if he can fold AQ/KK+ i think its just profitable. Question is whether or not he bets KK+ on the riv..

Getting them to fold better won't work very often. And yea I expect him to bet river with KK+ for sure.

Yah agreed. He tanked town to his last 2 seconds said 'nh' then folded. So i think he made a hero fold. I think the riv card is bad for me, theres actually a tonne of 67 combos he can have that i didn't even take into consideration at the time. I can have 6c7c and he can have the rest. At the time i thought there were actually more combos of nut hands in my range then his, But yah the riv card makes this a bad bluff, but an Offsuit 2 i think i would still be okay with.
