He got you beat most of the time in that first hand. Probably got his flush. Thats a pretty common line with a nut hand (or perceived nut hand).

J4 hand was badly played. Bet flop 20-30. 3bet more on turn, something in range 3-4x, and since river came J you can make a bigger thin value bet. (1/3 pot is okay).
