It's slower, I feel like the layout is worse (liked the simplicity of HEM1), and I get problems with HEM2 either crashing or lagging very bad when I click the note icon the HUD (happens maybe 10% of the time, but is a real bitch when it does).
I'd say obviously try the trial first though to see how it runs on your computer. If it runs smoothly, then probably worth it. But if not, I don't see a huge benefit with it other than NoteCaddy.
I am sorry for the delay in reply.
We have knocked out a lot of the most critical bugs recently and will soon be working on some of the less critical but equally annoying bugs. Before we can focus on those bugs we have to release our upcoming major performance update with the new lighter Datagrid and Hybrid Caching systems. The new Datagrid will make the GUI much quicker and more responsive when switching tabs and the new Hybrid Caching method will result in significantly lower CPU/RAM use in general but in particular for those with older computers and/or large (1 mil+ hands) databases. The new datagrid is very close to being released and once that has been released we will begin work on trying to fine tune the hybrid caching so it can be released as well.
If you don't currently own HM2 and these were your experiences using the trial please PM me and we can issue you a new extended trial so you can see if the recent changes help to eliminate the problems you experienced in the past.
