ttanaka - I would venture and educated guess and say that the hand replayer would work with Empire Poker hand histories. I am serious when I say that it is practically identical to Party Poker in just about every aspect except for a few cosmetic things like color scheme and table characters.

You are correct about starting the month off in the black with a nice deposit bonus! That was definitely nice to get.

One thing that pissed me off though. I cashed out $67.90 from Empire after getting the bonus (as I described in a post above). When my withdraw was actually approved and finalized and sent back into my Neteller account I got an e-mail from Empire stating that the withdrawal was complete. However, they stated that they can only do withdrawals in "whole dollars". Therefore, my withdrawal was only made in the amount of $67. AND, they did NOT put the $0.90 back into my Empire Poker real money account. So, I basically got shafted out of almost an entire dollar.

I know I'm knit-picking over a very small amount of money, but it is the principal of the thing that pissed me off. Sorry just needed to vent on that. I'm big on "principal" and that just did not sit right with me.

Wow, that sucks! Ok, I'll remember to bet that $.90 rather than just give it up!

Yeah. I was less than enthused. Probably wouldn't have bothered me quite as much had it been like $0.10 ya know? but the fact that it was almost an entire dollar rubbed me the wrong way. Man, this makes me come off as pretty cheap doesn't it? Oh well, so be it. It was the principal of the thing that irked me.

A couple other things that I've noticed over the weekend. If you remember from my earlier review of UB in this post I mentioned that I didn't like that they don't turn over the cards on a showdown. Well, I played in a sit 'n' go Saturday on UB. In the tournaments they do indeed turn the cards over for showdowns. They just don't do it at the regular tables. I wonder why? Anyone? One other thing that I forgot to mention that I just LOVE about UB is the fact that you can hit the "Hand History" link right on the table that you are playing and instantly view the last hand you played (or any hand because they have a up/down arrow to retrieve any hand from that history window). A window pops up with the histiry right there. This is awesome and I don't know of any of the other sites that I've played that have that instant hand retrieval right there on the table.

I also played again at Paradise Poker and I must reiterate how much I like their interface. It is excellent. The graphics are nice. The layout is intuitive and the speed at which the hands are played is good. Although it could be a little faster. The client is much more of a resource hog on my PC than any of the other poker site clients.

Anyway, just a couple of updates and thoughts if anyone cares!

Has anyone played any of these sites and compared it to pokerroom.com? Thats the only site i can play on, so i have no idea how strong the competition is compared to other places. I cant go and download virtual pc either because i have OS 8.6 and only really old versions of virtual pc would work, so im not sure what to do.

    Default Pokerroom.com

    Nemo,

I also use a Mac and discovered pokerroom.com about 2 weeks ago. I don't understand why the site is almost completely unmentioned on this forum-----it has a great interface and is easy to use. Plus, there are always people playing. I've managed to triple my money playing with the good folk here.

Well, since this is about different online sites. I thought I'd tell you guys and gals about Absolute Poker. It's a love/hate tale.

I love the site because it's one of the few sites I have cashed out with some regularity. Not a huge amount of traffic, but enough to make things interesting. Pleasant interface. Can personalize a avatar for yourself like Stars. Tables seat 9. Has point system like most other sites that are good for tourney entry.

Now the HATE part. You can and will be beat by a flush or straight on a regualr basis. I know it's the luck of the draw, but I've played at enough other sites to know that it is above norm at Absolute. Chasers are awarded for hanging in, thus building the rake.

I have since adjusted my play, and stemmed the wave of bad beats I suffer. I just watch in amazement at the number of people who lose to the suckouts. I warn people, but the warnings go unheeded until it's too late.

    On a scale of 1 to 10. I would rate Absolute a 7.

You would rate it a 7, when the playing field isn't level? Am i ready to much into your comments on suckouts?
Now with more Evil and a side of Hatred
