Default FTP Ticket Sale - Digest/Discussion

    Overview

There are two different types on tickets available in the Full Tilt Store - Ring Game tickets and Tournaments tickets. Both are currently discounted until the 18th of November, tournament tickets by at least 15% and Ring Game tickets by at least 20%.

I'll cover a bit about what each ticket is, how Ring Game tickets work, and put some numbers up on the $ per FTP point.

    Tournament Tickets

These are the simpler of the two - pay FTPs to buy a ticket to a certain buyin level. There are a range of buyins available, and tickets for MiniFTOPS and FTOPs are available. FTOPS will be first week of Decmeber and MiniFTOPS will be in January.

    Ring Game Tickets

These are pretty complicated, but there's a pretty good guide here:

Ring Game Tickets – Online Poker Cash Game Tickets – Full Tilt Poker

If anyone has any questions, post them here and we'll get them answered!

    Cliffs:

    • Play with ticket on one table
    • Money won over "Maximum Value" of ticket credited in cash to your account
    • When you've earnt "FTP Release Value" (number of FTPs while playing with the ticket) value of ticket will be released into your account
    • Can only use them to play at one table at once
    • Must be played with at least once every 7 days or they'll expire

They are basically a bonus you have to play through to clear, with the difference being that if you lose the value of the ticket while playing with it you'll lose any equity in the tickets so they'll be worth less effective rakeback. Would be good to get input from anyone good at math to see if they're work it.

    Value per FTP

    Cash bonuses

These are only available to Diamond VIP level players from the Diamond Edge store.

    $50 for 15,000 points - 0.33 cents per FTP
    $100 for 28,500 - 0.35 cents per FTP
    $250 for 65,000 - 0.38 cents per FTP
    $500 for 125,000 - 0.4 cents per FTP
    $1,000 for 240,000 - 0.416 cents per FTP
    $2,000 for 460,000 - 0.434 cents per FTP
    $5,000 for 1,100,000 - 0.454 cents per FTP

The bonuses clear at $0.04 per FTP and have differing clearance deadlines, from 15 days for the $50 to 180 days for the $5,000.

Tournament tickets - while on sale until 18th November

$1 Daily Dollar for 200 points - 0.5 cents per FTP
$2.20 BLT for 400 points - 0.55 cents per FTP
$22 Double Deuce for 4,260 points - 0.516 cents per FTP
$26 ticket for 5,200 points - 0.5 cents per FTP
$75 ticket for 14,750 points - 0.508 cents per FTP
    Step 5 ($216) for 42,000 points - 0.5 cents per FTP
$256 Sunday Brawl for 49,250 points - 0.519 cents per FTP
FTOPS Main Event ($640) for 107,500 points - 0.595 cents per FTP
$2,100 FTOPS for 355,000 points - 0.591 cents per FTP

Ring Game tickets - while on sale

    $10 for 2,535 points - 0.39 cents per FTP
    $25 for 6,260 points - 0.399 cents per FTP
    $50 for 12,250 points - 0.408 cents per FTP
    $100 for 23,650 points - 0.422 cents per FTP
    $200 for 44,000 points - 0.4545 cents per FTP

Not 100% sure how accurate the value for the ring games tickets are as they have odd clearance requirements.

If you buy 2 $50 tickets, can you then play at 2 separate tables at the same time?

I bought 3 $10 tickets and 3 tabled $10NL last night for about an hour and a half. You can't top up the tables if you go below the 100BB buy in so that's a little fucked up.

The ring game tickets are great for hit & run tactics. I've doubled my roll already in less than half an hour.

However, do note that if you buy in to a table at the max ticket value, if you hit & run you can't go back on to that table because your ticket won't allow you to buy back in at the amount you left with as it's greater than the max value of the ticket.

So do you have to go to a table with a higher buyin then?

No. Anything over the max ticket value is taken off as cash, so lets ay it's a $50 ticket, you buy in at a table with $50. You leave when you hit $75. You're ticket is now worth $50 again, your cash balance has increased by $25. But you can't buy back in to the table you left with less than when you left, so you are effectively blocked from this table for half hour until the rule doesn't apply any more.

I hate rush. Moving to a different table solves the problem.

"(2) You can't auto top up if you're using one of these. It tops up to the value of your ticket, then stops. So if you have a $100 ticket with $80 of value on it and sit at a $100NL table you can only have $80 - you can't add more of your own money. This makes tickets awkward to use."

That's from 2p2. You'd be better off buying the $25 tickets I guess and using them to play 10NL - you don't have to play with all the ticket on the table at once.

You lose value buying that way. 2 x $25 costs more points than 1x $50.

Sure, but jyms is playing with 3 x $10 which is worse value than either of the two options you posted

Too bad the cash tickets expire after 7 days. Sounds like great promo.
  14. #14
They only expire after 7 days if you don't use them in that time, using them refreshes the 7 day expiration...

jyms/rong - is there an end date expiry or could you keep the same ticket for years playing with it once a week?

No expiry date stated aside from the 7 day rule.

I dont think that I like the idea of these ring game tickets. It is stoupid that you can not top up at the tables when using a ticket.

then again you could always read Pascal's explanation above or the original linked post explaining the use of ring games tickets to find

A ticket’s Current Value is its latest cash value.
For example, a $100 Ring Game Ticket starts with a Current Value of $100. You buy-in to a ring game for $25, which you increase to $50. When you stand up, your Ring Game Ticket is now worth $125 (the unused $75, plus the $50 you stood up with). The ticket’s Current Value is now $125.
Use your ticket to buy in to the ring game of your choice whenever the ticket’s Current Value is equal to or greater than the minimum buy-in. If your ticket’s Current Value is larger than the maximum buy-in on the table, you’ll be able to use the remaining value to reload
