Turning Stone Casino and Resort
I traveled the 1 hour and 45 minute trip from Albany NY to Turning Stone Casino on Friday night. I was very suprised at how nice the casino was.
I arrived at 12:30 am and went straight to the poker room with the $210 that I brought from home. I put my name down for a $100 NL table and immediately I was given a seat. I got my $100 chips and went to work.
I quickly got up to $160, until I looked at 99 in the hole. Some squirmy kid 3 seats behind me called my raise of 10 preflop. Flop came K84. I bet $20 and he called. Next card A, money card. I bet out $20 again, he wasn't too sure of his hand, but just called. River card was a Q, I bet out $50 and he folded.
I ended up getting to $335 and started playing some bad cards. At 2:30am I decided that I had enough, and picked up my chips and walked over to where a couple of my friends were sitting and watched them play, but I had had enough for the night.
The players that I played with at the $100 NL table were very weak players in the eyes of me. Most thought they were awesome players with their fancy chip tricks, but were mostly fish.
I can't wait to make my next trip, but it probably won't be until next month.
