Default Poker Rooms In Biloxi, MS

The two big poker rooms are the Biloxi Grand Casino and the Gulfport Grand Casino. I've tried to get poker room rates at those two hotels several times and have always been told they don't offer them. I don't know which of the other casinos have poker rooms. I suspect that the Beau Rivage in Biloxi might.

I'd try calling some of the bigger casinos to find out about poker. Beau Rivage and Casino Magic are probably the best bets besides the Grands.

Incidentally, I've only played at the Biloxi Grand (twice, both times 1-4-8-8 spread), and I'd say that the games there are decent. When I was there (on the weekend), there were several locals in the game, and they seemed to know what they were doing. There were some "any two" type players, and 6 players would see the flop just about every other hand. It's pretty easy to isolate in spread limit, though, since the blinds are only $1/$2, and you can raise to $6. Seems like most people will see the flop for $2, but not so many for $6. I'd imagine a straight $4/$8 would play considerably looser.

The only other HE game dealt while I was there was 15/30 limit. Apparently they also have NL tourneys on Saturdays at 11 am.

I don't know if you even need this info anymore since it's a month after you asked, but I'll share what I know anyway. I live on the MS Gulf Coast, and there are only 4 casinos that have poker rooms. The Grands in Gulfport and Biloxi both have them, as well as the Copa in Gulfport. The fourth, I believe is in the Imperial Palace, but it might be the President, I can't remember. Strangely enought, the Beau does not have one. It's only the biggest casino on the Coast, yet no poker room, as far as I know.

I've only played at the Grand in Gulfport, the 1-4-8-8 mentioned earlier. Sometimes they have a 10-20, but that's not very often. The Grands have tourneys just about every day of the week, some limit, some no limit. I know the Copa has a single-table shootout with a $25 buy-in on Thursday nights. I've benn wanting to check that out. When I played, there was a nice mix of fish and real players. If you go play during the day, while a tourney is in progress, you increase your chances of playing with weaker players because the good ones are usually in the tourney.

Hope that hleps. Let me know if you need anymore info.
