In retrospect I should have pushed on the turn, but I eliminated any odds he had with the pot bet unless he had the flush already. I don't think he had the flush based on his flop behavior. I figured he was one away from the flush. I thought it pretty remote he would be holding 78 and still chasing the straight. I thought he may have QT and missed it.
The only reason I only bet $1 preflop was because everyone folded and I didn't want to collect .75 with AA (again!!!). You should see my returns on AA and KK. They are barely positive because everyone folds or the flop hammers me. I can't remember the last time I won a hand postflop with high PP. An overcard comes out almost every time and gets bet on. I've had a bad run lately with PPs. I've had a bad run in general. I took $25 and turned it into $95 in an hour, then watched it slowly dwindle back down to $25 3 hours later. Then followed that up with 3 sitngo bubble finishes where I was easily ahead on each hand and lost. Then followed those up with poor cards and hands like this where I watched premimum hands go to nothing on the flop over and over again. My flop rep wins were the only things keeping me afloat.
I'm only playing the recommended hands and I'm being aggressive when I have the best hand. Should I tighten up more and be a little more passive or just keep truckin?
