Hand 1: You have to reraise somewhere. You have a great hand, but there are so many scare cards. If you just call the flop (which is a little passive) you should significinatly reraise the turn. (And bet half pot on the river if he's still there).

Hand 2: I don't have a problem with how it was played. I see no reason to bet the river. As if you bet and someone pushes you almost have to fold. It sure seems like someone was chasing a flush and hit it and was looking to c/r you. The only other hands would be something like 2 pair or a 4. If there had been limited bluffing at the table, then you can put in a 1/3-1/2 pot "value bet" and comfortably fold to a push. Well, you've practically comitted to a push if you bet that though ... hmm ....
