You are correct, sir, but wouldn't the same thinking players definitely disapply foot from accelerator with two callers? If you check it again on the turn you might only be 50% likely to get another bet from anyone (except someone who has you beat), and you may then end up giving away two free cards to anyone's draw. You probably would get one call on a river value bet, but is that more likely than if you raised the same amount on the flop? (Answer: probably.)
(I am not fond of these kind of hands because frankly it seems like you seldom get paid off unless you're lucky enough to have a complete idiot in the hand with you. And half the time when you *think* you're getting paid off, it seems like you end up against AQ or KQ or 99 and lose your shit.)
