KQs and some preflop action
this is a table i've been beating pretty handily... these opps aren't the big fish but they're not all that creative either.
what do you infer from the size of villain's flop bet?
PokerStars No-Limit Hold'em, $0.25 BB (8 handed) Hand History Converter Tool from FlopTurnRiver.com (Format: FlopTurnRiver)
Hero ($45.25)
UTG ($40.85)
UTG+1 ($24.75)
MP1 ($18.30)
MP2 ($23.50)
CO ($26.50)
Button ($24.65)
SB ($43.25)
Preflop: Hero is BB with K, Q.
UTG calls $0.25, UTG+1 calls $0.25, 2 folds, CO raises to $1, 2 folds, Hero calls $0.75, UTG calls $0.75, UTG+1 raises to $3, CO folds, Hero calls $2, UTG folds.
i'm not in love with my preflop play here. was hoping UTG would come along and give me better implied odds... I don't cold call KQs regularly unless (as here) I'm pretty sure I have better postflop play.
Flop: ($8.10) 2, Q, J (2 players)
Hero checks, UTG+1 bets $6.25
