Default Interesting AK preflop spot 200nl

BB is a complete squeezing aggro monkey and if UTG folded I would lol insta shove and attempt to snap him (again).

UTG is donk shortstacker who is 10/8 over large sample. I put his range at JJ+ and AK and his stacking off range here at JJ+ if i were to shove. If I were villain there is ~ 5% chance that i would 4bet AA/KK in this spot maybe even less.

    saw flop

    SB ($198)
    BB ($96)
    UTG ($116)
    Hero (UTG+1) ($253.40)
    MP1 ($283.70)
    MP2 ($202.85)
    CO ($29)
    Button ($457.15)

    Preflop: Hero is UTG+1 with A, K
UTG raises to $4, Hero calls $4, 5 folds, BB raises to $14, UTG calls $10, Hero...

Obv folding is worst play as we're getting 3-1 in position, which makes calling preflop profitable and forces UTG to play his hand face up on the flop being 2nd to act after the monkey. I'm still torn as I think there is enough in the pot to justify shoving all in but I still don't know.

Interesting spot, thanks for posting it. I agree that folding is terrible. I'm inclined to shove here because we're up against shortstacks and playing postflop without flopping an A or K will be awkward. AK loses a lot of value postflop against an aggressive squeezer imo.

calling makes life difficult without an A or K high flop. Shove here given stack sizes.

I'm interested in your first smooth call?

My bankroll is the amount of money I would spend or lose before I got a job. It is calculated by adding my net worth to whatever I can borrow.

If he was 20 BB deep like he normally is I would reraise to get it in right away but I feel villain's UTG raising range doesn't change even though he raises less, at least this opponent. Also, with spewtard maniac in BB who squeezes with ATC it also helps that I call.
