Default How would you play this hand?

Came across this play last night. Hopefully my format is readable.

    SB: --,--
    BB: --,--
    MP1: --,--
    Hero: A,K
    MP3: --,--
    MP4: --,--
    MP5: --,--
    Button: --,--

    SB: post .01
    BB: post .02
    MP1: fold
    Hero: bet .06
    MP3: call .06
    MP4: fold
    MP5: call .06
    Button: call .06
    >SB: fold
    >BB: fold
    POT - .27

    RIVER: 9 K 3
    Hero: bet .15
    MP3: call .15
    MP5: fold
    Button: call .15
    POT - .72

    FLOP: 6
    Hero: bet .60
    MP3: fold
    Button: raise 1.20
    >Hero: call .60
    POT - 3.12

    RIVER: 6
    Hero: ??

    Finish in white text:
    Hero: checks
    Button: checks

Hero wins with Two Pair (Kings and Sixes)
    Button: mucks

So this guy was obviously bluffing or playing a weaker pair, but the raise on the first 6 followed by the second six made me stop and think. Later I thought I should have bet at the river about 1/2 of the pot to seal the deal, and fold if he reraised. Which is the better play?

    I like the preflop.
    Bet 0.20 on the flop.
Bet 0.50 on the turn and fold when I get raised.

As played check the river and call up to a 1/3 the pot bet.

I have never played .01/.02 but shouldn't you raise more preflop. I would think the standard respected raise at this level would be .10.

Thanks Irish. I bet ~1/2 the pot on the flop to try to keep a few players in since I didn't see any danger of a straight or flush. Why only 3/4 pot on the turn?

It was a home game tournament style, so the values were $1 chipwise (like $1/$2 NL). I just changed it to .01/.02 and scaled everything to ratio. It wasn't actual cash in play.

I think I'd still rather get 1 or 2 of these guys out. Theres just too many.

Because if I bet big on the flop then I figure anyone who is still in by the turn has a vested interest in the hand. He could have a set etc. I'm getting slightly suspicious and I want to keep it cheepish incase I get raised and need to fold.

Btw, I like the preflop because at these levels the iscolate and c-bet doesn't work. Especially out of position. So just build a pot and bet if you hit.

Sorry not familiar with the terms you used. Isolate and c-bet? 100x ?

For me to isolate would mean I raise big enough before the flop to try to fold out all but one opponent.

Then on the flop, for me to make a c-bet (short for continuation bet) would mean that I bet at the pot regardless of weather the flop connected with me. I am continuing my preflop aggression in the hopes of convincing the other players that I have AA or Top Pair Good Kicker (TPGK) on the flop.

I feel that these tactics don't work too well at low stakes because there is too many people who love to call you down with a marginal hand. Marginal though it may be, it is still good enough to beat your missed continuation bet hand.
