Noticed that left edges of threads etc go all the way to the edge of the browser window now. Just letting you know that there's somebody out there who notices.

The classic downside of fluid layouts that span the whole layout is the reduced readability of overly long text line-lengths, though. So I'm not sure I like it.

we removed our left navigation, so that's about 180ish or so pixels. i know what you mean about reading text, especially on a large monitor, the browser can not be maximized. we're experimenting with fixed width layouts atm.

oh yeah, that's what's missing from that side. yeah in my experience fluid layouts are a pain in the ass for that reason - getting overly wide on big monitors. css max-width is also a potential solution, if you want it to shrink down to size on iphones or whatever.

I was just coming in to say that I love the current layout! I haven't tried it on my phone yet, but I'm sure it'll make an even bigger difference there.
