How to Achieve Qualified Member Status

Qualified Member Status is no longer granted to new members, since we no longer run freerolls.

Hello FlopTurnRiver Members:

Effective immediately, the method for achieving Qualified Member status (in order to gain access to our Exclusive Event passwords) has changed.

From now on, Qualified Member privileges will be automatically triggered on the following conditions:

(A) Members who were already designated as Qualified on December 31st, 2014, will retain that status for life.

(B) Any current non-Qualified Member with less than 1,000 posts becomes automatically Qualified upon reaching a post count of 10 or more each month, and is automatically qualified during the following month.

(C) Any current non-Qualified Member with less than 1,000 posts is automatically Disqualified if they do not reach the 10-post-count minimum the following month (i.e. member makes 10 posts in February, is automatically qualified for February & March, but does not reach 10 posts in March, so is then automatically Disqualified for April).

(D) Any member who achieves 1,000 total posts is automatically Qualified for life.

(E) Members attempting to manipulate this system via hyper-posting or other forum abuse will ultimately be banned from the boards and will not be allowed access to our Exclusive Event passwords.

Note: Currently, passwords are released to ALL members (within the actual event thread) approximately one hour before the tournament begins. This will change starting May 1st, 2015... meaning passwords into Exclusive Events following that date will only be released to our Qualified Members in our Private Forum. This notice is aimed at giving all non-Qualified Members a heads-up so there are no surprises after May 1st.

We look forward to seeing more participation here on our forums and welcome new members who will be posting in upcoming months!

I like this updated system. I think I qualify under A. I have been trying for ages to qualify under D. I may have played 1000 hands of OFC, but I do not have 1000 posts under my belt yet. It will happen in time.

It is weird, when 10000 People take part in the FTR tourneys without any posting in the forums.

thats because the non posters leak the password onto freeroll forums . ifthey don't post in the future they won't be getting the password to leak it .

if you can read the qualified members forum you are qualified.

Are the counting of posts cumulative or only participating in this forum counts? I also take part in the FTR forum of my country.

Posts in country-specific forums will still count toward the monthly totals.

Hi Vitalik,

There is a Private Forum named "Qualified Members" that appears on our Poker Forum list for Qualified Members. It does not appear for non-Qualified Members who visit our Poker Forum page.

I haven't been around here for quite a while, but when I was around there wasn't many places to posts.
FTR does offering great value tournaments thought when I was an active member. :P

Regarding becoming Qualified, that is correct... although posts in the Exclusive Events forum won't be included in the post count.

We'd much rather see newer members posting in our poker forums and enjoying their time here on the site rather than posting a handful of event-posts just to meet a monthly quota. Your best bet is to become familiar with our poker forums and begin interacting with the posters there.

Hi everyone,

In an effort to make the minimum post-count requirements as reasonable as possible for our newer members, I am lowering the Qualification quota to at least 10 posts per month. For now, posts in ALL FORUMS -- EXCLUDING our EXCLUSIVE EVENTS FORUM -- will count (I realize there is contradictory information about this in Posts #9 & #17), but this could change in the future if third-party services continue to "poach" our Exclusive Event passwords. Our International (non-English language) Sub-Forums have very little to no activity. I will update this thread if we ultimately decide to only include posts in our main Poker Forums.

Please bear in mind that we will be monitoring post activity of newer members to ensure that the system is not abused. Basically, we are asking that new posters don't engage in "hyperposting" a bunch of one-line responses that add no relevant content to the boards.

I have deleted some "hyper posted" posts today where the poster has added nothing to what has already been said in the relevant threads and bumped 2 or 3 month old threads in doing so. Hyper posting "me too" posts is likely to get all of those posts deleted and lose you qualified member status. QM is to encourage players to post and get feedback and learn and get better at poker. It is not intended to be a shortcut to some money added events.

As our veteran contributors already know, we have a group of very dedicated moderators who care deeply about the content that gets posted. Newer members are encouraged to participate with their honest opinions while trying to add something relevant to an existing thread.

Thank god for that!! Nothing worse than sifting through posts and pages of complete nonsense.
