Ho is not short for hornado though. It's short for whore. Your hypothetical is thus irrelevant but I'll allow it. If slang for tornado was "to" it is hard to know how we would spell its plural, but there's a difference between toes and hoes. The gardening instrument is a lot less likely to be confused than the body part in a 2014 conversation, unless you're having that conversation in rural Idaho or something. Using the apostrophe is just graceless, and akin to spelling you're your or something. Extremely annoying. Out of the three bandied about spellings of hoes, hos, and ho's, ho's is certainly the least sensible and least aesthetically pleasing.
