It drives me crazy that people get so bent out of shape about "its" versus "it's" and "could care less."

I'm all: "Interesting you say that 'I could care less' is a 'meaningless' statement because I just said it, and you knew what I meant so precisely, that you actually relayed the meaning back to me. Maybe you should learn the meaning of words like 'meaningless' because you'll be disappointed to find that when you immediately recognize the meaning of something it doesn't qualify as 'meaningless.'" Etc.

I do think misapplied quotes and ellipses can be confusing though. It's taken a long time for me to realize that when my dad emails me, "Thx..." he's not trailing off into some inaudible snide remark. I still don't know what he means by it, but it's not that apparently.
