lol, link?
i also find it funny that the U.S. wants to cancel 90-95% of iraq's 120billion debt, yet you think we did this to get oil? meanwhile, russia and france are arguing to forgive 50%. everyone seems to forget here, the countries with the largest oil interests in the middle east are france and russia.
the chairman probably is a republican from texas because texas is the largest oil producing state in the U.S., which happens to be one of the largest oil producing countries in the world (producing more than the "second largest producing country" even.)
And lastly. yes, oil refineries are almost certainly guilty of making prices a little higher than they could. but it should be monitored, i doubt its by very much, and the fact that they're making 30/barrel now instead of 13/barrel shows nothing. what's your pay now, what was it 20 years ago, exactly.
I couldnt tell you what my pay was.. I was 8 , I made around 50 bucks a month on my newpaper route.
I meant oil reserve. And they are 4th ... Not 2nd, I stand corrected. However; Before 1989 and Desert Storm their potential to double production to 8 million bpd was within its limitations. Before we stepped in, of course. At 8 million a day that would put them right at 3rd.
And just because they want to cancel some of the funds that have been given to Iraq doesnt necessarily mean we will not get a better price on oil from them because of their debt burden.
I honestly believe sooner than later you will see KBR drilling throughout that entire country and assisting Iraq on rebuilding their economy solely based on oil. The United States will not only profit from it, the American people will be relieved with the outrageous pricing of oil.
Although France and Russia maybe the most concerned, they sure didnt get up off their asses to help out in Iraq. Iraq needed more than money for help. If you had seen some of Saddams palaces like I did you see where most of the money went. One rich dictator, millions of poor people.
If Iraq owes us money and they have none, how do you think they will pay us back? And if we didnt do it for diplomacy ( word used for oil in political arguments between U.S. and Iraq) what did we do it for?
PS: Please dont say WMD.. I will puke.
